SOUVENIR COMMEMORATING THE SEVENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDING OF THE CITY OF TIFFIN

               INTRODUCTION

IN ISSUING this Illustrated Souvenir of Tiffin's Seventy-Fifth Anniversary, the publishers have aimed to show the growth of the city from its inception to the present time. To this end the mere descriptive and historical have been minimized, while all phases of business and professional life have been emphasized by means of practical and artistic photography.

The data for each sketch were necessarily obtained from the subjects themselves and from other reliable sources, and have been arranged with painstaking care. We have endeavored to give credit where credit was due, and in no instance have we indulged in fulsome compliment for the purpose of acquiring business or favor.

From the mechanical standpoint we have given the photographer, engraver and printer full scope, so as to make the Souvenir realistic, thoroughly artistic, representative and up to date, and thus be a credit to the community as we to the publishers.

We hereby express our appreciation to all those who have so kindly co-operated with us in issuing this Souvenir, for without their assistance the success of the work would have been impossible.

The Souvenir is sent forth with the hope that it will prove a welcome visitor and an abiding presence in homes of the community; and if it promotes, even in a small measure, the interests of Tiffin, its object will been accomplished.
