MIRON SEXTON , of Clinton Township, Seneca County, Ohio, was born in Tolland County, Connecticut, on the 1st of June, 1808. He removed into Florence Township, Erie County, Ohio, on the 16th of September, 1824, and resided there until the spring of 1886, at which time he removed to the neighboring Township of Huron, in the same County, remaining at the latter place until the spring of 1866. During the same year he removed to the residence and a farm he now occupies, in Clinton Township. On the 13th of June, 1826, he married Miss Mary Henry, at Enfield, Hartford County, Connecticut, by whom he had four children,-two sons and two daughters, -two of whom are dead, the surviving ones, Henry and Cornelia, having married, and are now residing in Clinton Township. The other son, Franklin, died in the army, and the daughter while quite young. On the10th of November, 1884, Mr. S. sustained the misfortune of losing his beloved wife; suffering this bereavement, and left with a family of young children, he again married, on the 2Oth of December, 188&, to Pauline Daniels, of Berlin Township, Erie County, Ohio. By this union three children were added to the family, two of whom died in tender years. Death again left Mr. S. a widower, his second wife dying in November, 1842. He entered for the third time into the married state in 1844, joining his lot with that of Catharine McGuire. This union was then blessed with one child, a daughter, who married Albert Rummel, and now resides in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The farm upon which the subject of this sketch now resides, contains sixty acres, but he, in conjunction with his son Henry, has a farm of one hundred and sixty acres of well-improved and fertile land located in the same Township, and upon which his son resides. The family residence is situated one and a half miles southeast of Tiffin, and is a large and elegant brick mansion. It is pleasantly located, commanding a fine view of the city. In front is a beautiful garden, plenteously bedecked with some of the most lovely products of Flora's treasury. Mr. Sexton can congratulate himself upon possessing one of the prettiest and most comfortable residences in the County.
