C. C. PARK, of Clinton Township, Seneca County, Ohio, was born in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, October 4, 1829. He accompanied his parents to Tiffin in 1830; John Park, father of the subject of this sketch, being for a long time engaged in mercantile pursuits in that city. On the 8th of November, 1855, he married Malinda, daughter of Ezra Derr, one of the early settlers of the County. They had five children, the eldest of whom died at the age of sixteen years. On the 16th of June,1865, Mr. P. sustained a great misfortune in the loss of his wife, which calamity was caused by an accidental fall from a chair. He married a second time, to Elizabeth C. Smith, September 10, 1868. Mr. Park has been long identified with the manufacturing interests of Tiffin, holding the position of Director in the Tiffin Woolen Mills, the Tiffin Agricultural Works, and in the Tiffin Shoe Factory. His homestead consists of one hundred and sixty-two acres of land, a fine residence, and ample outbuildings. A portion of it is cultivated as a market-garden, and produces some excellent vegetables. Mr. Park is an enterprising business man, and a practical farmer.
