JOHN MYERS, of Adams Township, Seneca County, Ohio, was born at Frederick County, Virginia, Nov. 6, 1808. He first settled near Columbus, Franklin County, this State, in June, 1814. He removed to Adam. Township in the year 1824, and located on the farm now occupied by Abraham Ryan, settling on the farm where he now resides in the spring of 1888. In 1880 he married Elizabeth, daughter of Abraham Ryan, an old resident of the Township and County. They had two children, one son and one daughter. The latter married, in 1849, to James McIntyre, an extensive farmer residing on the adjoining farm. She died January 6, 1869. Oscar was born October 6, 1856, and still resides with his father. The homestead farm contains three hundred and sixty-four acres of well-cultivated land, with a fair proportion of timber, a good orchard, and some pastures. Mr. Myers is a much-respected citizen, and enjoys his vigorous old age, with every indication of living many years.
